Is this the right path?

Every now and then, we as believers come to a time and place where we ask the question, “Is this the right path for me?” How can we know if we are going the direction the Lord wants us to go since He alone knows our future? How can we assess if what we are currently doing is what He wants us to do?

My words for you today are this:
IF YOU ARE FOLLOWING JESUS, YOU’RE FOLLOWING THE SON,
SO YOU ARE ON THE RIGHT PATH.

“When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”
John 8:12

As long as we are serving God by seeking Him and living for Jesus, then how our lives play out are according to his will. It may be a small moment, it may be a huge decision, but either way, He will guide you and give you a peace. He wrote your life story long before you existed, and He will let it play out for His glory. Our job is just to trust and keep going. Our path may rocky, difficult, steep, and even slippery, but the Son of God and his Holy Spirit will light the way and direct us. We need not worry about the how’s, the why’s or the where’s, but just keep moving onward. The rest is in his hands.

“But the path of the righteous is like the light of dawn, that shines brighter and brighter until the full day.”
Proverbs 4:18

For further guidance and wisdom on which path should you take:
“Your word is a lamp to my feet And a light to my path.”
Psalm 119:105

Food for thought: Lord, open our eyes to see that You have us on the right path. Grant us a peace about your will for our life’s journey.

Fun facts: Portions of lyrics from song Follow the Son by Hillsong Worship:
“You are the light
That guides my way through fear
I know my path will lead me to the King
And all the world will bow to worship You
I follow the Son
You’re the only One
Let Your kingdom come
I’m giving it all to the One I love
I follow the Son
Jesus holy One
Let Your will be done
I give it all to You
