Happy Easter! We celebrate this day because God has given us a way to know Him, to be with Him here on earth, and in the future in his heavenly home. He is so gracious to us, even though we are completely undeserving of His grace. He has done this through Jesus, the Messiah for ALL people who accept this truth. His sacrificial selfless act of giving up his life by laying it down on that cross meant that we won’t have to die in our sinful state.

All we need to do is symbolically lay our own life down at Jesus’ feet, and hand over the keys to our heart. Doing so provides us assurance that for our remaining time here, and then at death, we need not fear anything, because Jesus has been there and conquered it! When it is our time to leave, we can confidently know that through a personal relationship with the Lamb of God, heaven’s gate is open. What a generous gift Jesus is offering us!!

Thank you Jesus, thank you Jesus, thank you Jesus!!!!!

I implore you to take a few minutes and read through all of these verses that speak of who Jesus is, what He has done, and what that means for us. It WILL brighten your day, and remind you of what Easter is truly all about – JESUS.

Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”
John 8:12

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
John 14:6

I am the door. If anyone enters by me, he will be saved and will go in and out and find pasture.

John 1:29

For Christ has entered, not into holy places made with hands, which are copies of the true things, but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God on our behalf. Nor was it to offer himself repeatedly, as the high priest enters the holy places every year with blood not his own, for then he would have had to suffer repeatedly since the foundation of the world. But as it is, he has appeared once for all at the end of the ages to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself. And just as it is appointed for man to die once, and after that comes judgment, so Christ, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time, not to deal with sin but to save those who are eagerly waiting for him.
Hebrews 9:24-28

Jesus answered him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.”
John 3:3

“But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ.”
Philippians 3:20

When I saw him, I fell at his feet as though dead. But he laid his right hand on me, saying, “Fear not, I am the first and the last, and the living one. I died, and behold I am alive forevermore, and I have the keys of Death and Hades.
Revelation 1:17-18

“For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever.”
1 Thessalonians 4:16-17
