We all hunger for something…for more…
Will you take the bait that is right in front of you?
The better question is – whose bait will you take?

The Good Fisherman:
He lures you with what you actually need.
He offers himself as the bait.

The evil Hunter:
He lures you with what you think you need.
He offers only imitations.

Choose wisely, every time:
– The Fisher-of-Man’s bait, the bread of life, leads to a fulfilling life with himself as your sustenance. He already endured death from that hook. He overcame it, and will catch you in his safety net if you let go. He desires for you to be “hooked” on Him.
– The evil Hunter’s bait offers only a chemical taste on that rubbery artificial lure, which leads to a continual hunger, a void that cannot be filled. He will catch you on his line, then let you dangle from that painful hook until the end. He wants you “hooked” on things of this world.

“Then Jesus declared, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.”
John 6:35

Live with no regrets.
Choose the bread of life.
Choose to trust and follow the Fisher-of-man.
He knows the way.
He IS the way!

“I call heaven and earth to witness against you today, that I have set before you life and death, the blessing and the curse. So choose life in order that you may live, you and your descendants..
Deuteronomy 30:19

Food for thought: If you have been hooked by things of this world, you can be released from it! First, seek the Lord for help and strength; secondly, ask others for guidance and accountability.

Fun facts: When fishing, there are many different techniques. Each fish requires a slightly different method to catch it. Hmmm, people are the same way. The hungrier the fish, the easier it is to catch.
