“I will bless the LORD at all times; his praise shall continually be in my mouth.”
Psalm 34:1

Whatever you are facing today, be assured that a simple song of praise is the best medicine. A chorus of Hallelujahs, regardless of your circumstances, will move those mountains in your life!

Hallelujah (Alleluia): a shout or expression of joy and thanks, to praise and worship the Lord.

So go ahead and sing, shout, cry out loud in recognition of WHO is in control. This will take your focus off of ‘what’, and put it on WHO. Rest assured that the Lord will hear your voice.

Turn you face upward, look to the Heavens, and thank God for today, for your breath, for your life. Give Him a shout out of praise and hallelujah for being such a trustworthy, honest, kind, patient, and forgiving Lord. He deserves it, and alone is worthy of it!

“Through him then let us continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of lips that acknowledge his name.”
Hebrews 13:15

Do you know that when we praise the Lord, He inhabits our praises? He thrives on them! He dwells in the middle of it. It can change the course of our circumstances by His delighting in our heart’s worship. He might make a move in our direction and bless us in a way we never expected.

A Philippine village was in the direct path of not just one but potentially two tornados. You could see it/them from the video the camera man shot. In the background, you hear the voices of the people, “Jesus, Jesus, praise Jesus, praise Jesus, Jesus Christ, Hallelujah…”, because they knew WHO to go to, and that to praise His name was the best way to get the Lord’s attention. Guess what? Those tornados dissolved just before they hit the village. Jesus spared the village through the praises of his people.

“Sing to the LORD, all the earth; proclaim his salvation day after day.”
1 Chronicles 16:23

When we offer a sacrifice of praise on our heart’s altar, we are giving the Lord what He is due, His portion.

When we are in the midst of hardship, to take time and energy and sing a song of praise or thanksgiving to our Lord, regardless of the setting or unknown outcome, proves to the Lord our faith in Him and provides Him an opportunity to turn and bless us. If He chooses to allow the situation to remain, then bless Him and accept his perfect decision.

The Lord gives, and the Lord takes away. Blessed be His name, always!

Food for thought: By remembering that God is in control of our life, it takes the heavy lifting off of our shoulders and places it on God’s. This simplifies our job – all we need to do is trust Him and act accordingly.
He’s got this! Hallelujah!
